Apply now for free or reduced-price school meals

by | Jul 10, 2025 | Education, Latest

With the start of the new school year fast approaching, Farmersville ISD is encouraging parents and guardians to submit their applications for free or reduced-price meals as soon as possible to ensure students receive the nutrition they need without interruption.

Children in households that meet income eligibility guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture may qualify for breakfast and lunch at no cost or at a reduced price through the federally supported school meal program. To be considered for the 2025–26 school year, families must submit a new application—even if they were previously approved for the program.

Applications should be completed online at http://mealappnow.com/manfrm. Households will need to either create a new account or log in to an existing one to fill out the form. Only one application per household is necessary and should include all school-aged children.

Submitting the application online is the fastest method, with approval or denial typically available shortly after processing. Paper applications are available for pickup at the School Nutrition Office, located at the Intermediate School campus, but those may take up to 10 days to process.

The district emphasizes that families should not delay in applying, as students may not receive meal benefits until the application is approved.

At this time, meal pricing on the FISD website still reflects the 2024–25 school year.

All parents can manage and add funds to their child’s lunch account online through Lunch Money Now, a secure electronic payment system.

To make payments or check account balances, visit https://www.lunchmoneynow.com/lmnfrm/Main.htm.

For more information or help with the application process, contact the Farmersville ISD School Nutrition Department at 972-782-8551.
