ARLINGTON — Farmersville junior Breelynn Pollard capped off a breakout season by qualifying for the Class 4A state cross country meet for the first time.
Pollard ran to 14th place with a time of 12:33.75 at the Region II-4A meet, held Tuesday morning at Harold Patterson Sports Center.
Pollard is the first Farmersville runner to qualify for state since Aubrey Varner made back-to-back appearances in Round Rock her junior and senior seasons in 2022 and 2023.
The Class 4A state meet is set for 8:15 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 1 at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock.
