Four players from the Farmersville football team signed a National Letter of intent on Feb. 4.

Senior defensive lineman Triffan Greene inked with Sul Ross State University. Linebacker Cade Ellis and running back Marquis Oshodi will look to continue their careers at Midland University, while offensive lineman Jared Vanderburg made it official with McPherson College.

Greene was named the team’s Defensive Lineman of the Year and earned All-District 5-4A Division II second-team honors. Ellis was once again among the leading tacklers for Farmersville and served as a team leader. He finished with 12 tackles and three tackles for loss in a 55-19 win over Bonham on Oct. 10.

Oshodi carried the offensive load at times in his lone season with Farmersville after transferring from Allen, finishing with a team-high 1,390 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns.

Vanderburg helped anchor an offensive line that returned just one starter and provided pass protection and run blocking for a Farmersville offense that averaged 36.6 points per game.
