The Farmers didn’t have to leave town last week as they competed in the Farmer Joe Relays at Farmers Stadium on Thursday.
It was a particularly successful meet for their relay teams, which included a first-place finish in the boys 4×100 (43.7), in addition to a second-place finish in the 4×400 (3:36.99) and a fourth-place finish in the 4×200 (43.7). The Lady Farmers ran to second place in both the 4×100 (50.69) and 4×200 (1:50.17) and added a sixth-place finish in the 4×400 (4:37.8).
Breelynn Pollard turned in a solid outing in the mile and two-mile runs, placing second in the 3,200 (12:26.38) and third in the 1,600 (5:50.79).
Ameera Warren paced the Lady Farmers in the sprints with a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter dash (27.13). Mya Shields earned seventh in the 100 (13.74). Jasmin Trejo was 10th in the 100-meter hurdles (19.82) and 11th in the 300-meter hurdles (55.79). Alex Beheler was 10th in the 300-meter hurdles (55.74).
Farmersville’s boys totaled 11 top-10 finishes on their home track.
Ethan Stone went 51.53 in the 400-meter dash for second place, while Landon Green took ninth in 55.3. Mathew Salvador ran to bronze in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.44.
Amare Warren placed fifth in the 200 (23.86) and tied for seventh in the 100 (11.59). Jaxon Ward placed ninth in the 200 (24.07).
Karson Berry-Holland went 45.51 in the 300-meter hurdles for seventh place, and Anderson Perry placed ninth (45.7). Landon Ware was 10th in the 1,600 (5:13.29).
