More than 30 robotics teams competed in a two-day FIRST Robotics district event hosted in Farmersville, with top finishers advancing toward the state tournament.
The competition held March 28–29, brought together approximately 32 teams from across the region to showcase engineering, programming and teamwork skills in a series of head-to-head matches.
Teams competed for a chance to qualify for the state tournament in Houston, the next step toward the FIRST Championship, an international event scheduled for April 29 through May 2 that will feature 600 teams from around the world.
Farmersville High School’s robotics team was among the competitors and earned a spot in the next round of competition, continuing its progression through the season.
The event drew volunteers, students and spectators, highlighting community support for STEM education and student achievement.
