Collin County officials reviewed proposed development regulation changes, law enforcement compensation and staffing trends, and retirement plan performance during the Monday, Aug. 3 Commissioners Court meeting.
The court received an update from the county Engineering Department on proposed revisions to the 2026 Development Regulations. The changes would affect subdivision regulations, floodplain regulations and manufactured home rental community regulations.
Officials said the revisions are primarily administrative and are intended to align county procedures with state law, improve efficiency and clarify existing practices. The proposed updates would not create new development standards or establish new county policies
