FARMERSVILLE, Texas — Collin College will honor J. Robert “Bob” Collins, a founding board member and trustee emeritus, during a ceremonial naming of Dr. J. Robert Collins Hall at the college’s Farmersville Campus.

The celebration is scheduled for 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Farmersville Campus, 501 S. Collin Parkway.

Collins was among the founding trustees who helped establish Collin College and has been a longtime supporter of the institution, its students and the communities it serves. College officials say his vision, leadership and support have played an important role in the college’s development from its earliest days.

The naming of Dr. J. Robert Collins Hall recognizes Collins’ decades of service and lasting contributions to Collin College.

Now a trustee emeritus, Collins has remained connected to the college following his service on its board.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony and join the Collin College community in recognizing Collins and his role in the college’s history.

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to [email protected].
