STAAR scores trend downward for state, FISD

by | Jul 15, 2021 | Education, Latest

The Texas Education Agency indicated that with no STAAR tests being administered in 2020, schools’ performance this year seems to have been affected statewide by the complications produced by the pandemic, including students shifting to remote learning.

STAAR results were released at the end of June by the Texas Education Agency. The results include testing in math and reading for grades 3 through 8, fourth and seventh grade writing, fifth and eighth grade science, eighth grade social studies and high school end-of-course (EOC) exams in Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology, and U.S. History, said the TEA in a news release.
