Trash truck catches fire at Dairy Queen

Amid thunderstorms and rainy conditions, the Farmersville Fire Department was busy Friday, May 27 extinguishing a trash truck that caught on fire at Dairy Queen.

First responders were paged at 6:38 a.m. May 27 on a call regarding a vehicle fire. This fire ended up being an IESI trash truck at Dairy Queen, located at 201 Hwy. 380.

The incident is suspected to be caused by a faulty hydraulic line or an electrical short.

The Dairy Queen did not suffer any damage as a result of the fire.
