Lyle Hibbitts goes airborne to score for the Farmers.

Farmersville snapped an extended losing streak last week after finishing 1-1.

In District 13-3A action, they opened with a 68-52 loss on the road to Leonard.

“It was a very competitive game. We were down 13 (points) at one point in the third (quarter). We battled back to take the lead by two with three minutes to go. Our emphasis this past week was to improve our rebounding and defense. We did just that,” head coach Brian Wester said. “A costly turnover down the stretch hurt us and a poor shooting percentage from the paint hurt us. We had a shot to tie the game with a few seconds left but came up short. We are looking forward to playing them in our gym.”
