MESQUITE – The Farmers demonstrated last weekend that they are not only a talented baseball team, but a resilient one as well.
After falling 3-2 to Grand Saline last Thursday in Game 1 of a Class 3A regional quarterfinal, Farmersville (27-6 overall) rebounded the following day to rally for a 2-1 win.
Then, with all the marbles on the line, the Farmers buried the Indians 9-0 in the rubber game at Mesquite Poteet’s James Copeland Baseball Field this past Saturday.
