Farmersville football faced defeat for the first time this season last Friday.

Mineola (4-2, 2-0) came out on the winning end 54-0 over the Farmers (6-1, 2-1) in District 7-3A Div. I.

“Mineola was everything that we expected them to be. However, I was proud of how our kids continued to fight and never quit,” head coach Sammy Burnett said. “I told our kids after the game if we get the chance to play them again (in the playoffs) we will be in better shape the second time around.”

The Yellowjackets scored points in all four quarters on 12 first downs.
