Laughter and a few tears fell as memories of Greg, otherwise known as Spanky, and Tim Barber flew high Sunday, April 23.

Joined by family and friends, the Farmersville VFW Post 7426 paid honor in a Celebration of Life memorial to the father and son duo who were killed in a plane crash Dec. 31, 2016 in McKinney.

With more than 50 people in attendance, Mandy Barber, wife of Greg and mother to Tim, accepted a token of appreciation from VFW Senior Vice Commander Darrell Moore, a remembrance challenge coin.
