Those who pay school taxes in Farmersville will see a reduction in the tax rate this year after FISD adopted a proposed lower tax rate.
The school board adopted a 5 cent reduction at their Monday, July 24 school board meeting. The tax decrease is found on the debt side or Interest and Sinking Fund.
The proposed tax rate is a total of $1.34 per $100 valuation – $1.17 for Maintenance and Operations and 17 cents for Interest and Sinking.
