The life of a high school coaches son can be a tough one at times, filled with moving around from one school to another.

Chase and Braxton Hacker did just that prior to the start of the 2013-’14 school year.

Their father, Tracy Hacker, was hired as an assistant for the Farmersville varsity football and baseball teams.

When the Hackers arrived from Red Oak, Chase was entering his freshman year at FHS and Braxton was a seventh grader at the junior high.

“The move was pretty tough coming from a bigger school,” Braxton said.

Midway through the 2013 football season, Chase was thrust into the starting quarterback role and held that position for the next three years.
