Every victory and defeat is crucial if the Farmers want to return to the playoffs.
Farmersville (7-8 overall, as of Monday, Jan. 1) began its quest Tuesday, Jan. 2 in the District 10-3A opener at Van Alstyne.
Howe comes town 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5.
Followed by at Leonard (Jan. 9), with Commerce (Jan. 12) and Lone Oak (Jan. 16), and at Whitewright (Jan. 19) to close out the first round.
All start at 7:30 p.m.
Last week over Christmas break, the Farmers were 1-2 in the Dec. 27-29 Leonard Holiday Invitational.
The lone win came over Honey Grove on the consolation side of the bracket.
They dropped contests to Pottsboro and Ivanhoe Sam Rayburn.
Celeste defeated Caddo Mills for the overall title, Pottsboro knocked off Emory Rains for third place, Bonham won over Whitewright for fifth and Sam Rayburn defeated Tom Bean for the consolation championship.
