Many residents are in mourning after lifelong resident and community contributor Charles Curington recently passed away.
Perhaps most noteable was the time that Mr. Curington dedicated to the Farmersville Fire Department.
He joined the Farmersville Volunteer Fire Department as an auxiliary fireman at age 20 and proudly served for 40 years, with 15 years as fire chief. He served twice in this role and was also the first elected president of the Collin County Fire Association.
Officially retiring from the department in 1999, he remained an active retiree member.
