A multiple injury accident between two pick-up trucks halted traffic Thursday, Feb. 1 at the intersection of Hwy. 380 and Hwy. 78.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of the accident at the intersection around 1:30 p.m. Feb. 1.

According to information released by the Farmersville Police Department, a 2015 Green Ford 150 driven by Wayne Allen, 85, of Josephine was traveling north on Hwy. 78. Also in the vehicle was his wife, Mary Allen.

Michael Harris, 19, of Wylie was traveling south on Hwy. 78 driving a 2001 Black Dodge Ram 1500 when Wayne turned in front of Harris to get onto Hwy. 380. The vehicles impacted one another and Harris, Wayne and Mary were all transported as a result of the wreck.

Preliminary investigation reveals that Mary died after the accident as a result of underlying medical conditions.

Farmersville PD, Farmersville Fire and American Medical Response responded to the accident scene.

The road was shut down for about an hour.
