Charles Louis Hopkins, 71, of Farmersville was recently indicted on felony animal cruelty charges.
He was indicted by the Collin County Grand Jury Thursday, Feb. 8 for cruelty to non-livestock animals: torture, which is a State Jail felony.
According to reports, the investigation began July 17, 2017, when the police department received multiple calls of a “strong odor of a deceased animal” coming from 213 Hill Street in Farmersville’s city limits.
