The Lady Farmers got the 2018 softball season going by finishing below the .500 mark.

“The 2-4 finish is not a good reflection of what this team is capable of,” Farmersville head coach Paula Wilfong said. “We had some rough patches during the Bonham tournament but we were able to bounce back in day two to put 15 runs on the board against Prairiland.”

Things opened with a 14-1 run-rule loss to host Celina.
