Farmersville baseball came away with a winning record in their first trip back to the Blue Ridge Tournament.
They beat Collinsville 4-0, Blue Ridge 13-2, and lost in the opener to Detroit 4-0.
“We’re a work in progress and will be for awhile. We weren’t good on Friday against Detroit, but came back and played well most of the day Saturday. The Blue Ridge team we beat is probably comparable to some of the teams in our district, so we feel good about that one,” FHS head coach Jon Nordin said.
The Farmers (2-3 overall as of Monday, March 5) opened the District 10-3A slate Tuesday, March 6 with Whitewright.
“It will be a big one for us. I saw them last weekend and they’re a good team, so we’ll have to be at our best to win,” Nordin said.
