Fatality accident impedes traffic, kills one

A fatality accident on Hwy. 380 killed one man from Caddo Mills in the early morning hours of May 2. (Courtesy photo)

Emergency services responded to a two-car collision around 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 2 in the 2000 block of Audie Murphy Pkwy. (Hwy. 380) in Farmersville that resulted in a fatality.

According to preliminary information released by Police Chief Mike Sullivan, one vehicle exited a private drive from the Lexington Nursing Home and was T-boned by another vehicle traveling westbound on Hwy. 380. The driver who was leaving the private drive didn’t survive the accident and has been identified as Kenneth Young, 62, of Caddo Mills. The driver of the other vehicle sustained no injuries.

The highway was shut down for several hours.
