Early voting totals released for May 5 election

In unofficial early voting totals, incumbent Mayor Diane Piwko is ahead of challenger Randy Rice. Piwko received 147 votes (51.40 percent) and Rice received 139 votes (48.60 percent) in early voting.

For city council Place 2 incumbent Councilmember Donny Mason is in the lead ahead of challenger Angie Rios. Mason received 178 votes (62.24 percent) and Rios received 100 votes (34.97 percent). John Garcia who officially withdrew his name from the race but remained on the ballot for Place 2 received 8 votes (2.80 percent.)

 

For city council Place 4 incumbent Councilmember Mike Hurst takes the lead over challenger John Klostermann. Hurst has received 205 votes (72.44 percent) and Klostermann received 78 votes (27.56 percent.)

 

These are early voting only and the first set of Election Day returns will be released around 8:30 p.m. For continuing election coverage see www.farmersvilletimes.com.
