The 2018 college baseball season couldn’t have gone any better for Farmersville graduate Bowie Farris.

The University of Texas at Tyler junior shortstop earned multiple honors and helped guide his team to a NCAA Div. III World Series title.

Farris was named a second-team selection from the West region in the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team and D3Baseball.com. He was also picked as an American Southwest Conference first-team selection at shortstop.

Following a win in the NCAA Div. III World Series, the former Farmer was selected all-tournament.

The unranked Patriots knocked off Texas Lutheran 8-1 and 9-6 at Fox Cities Stadium.
