Around 11:31 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 emergency responders were sent to County Road 558 at County Road 605 outside Farmersville regarding a train derailment. Upon arrival, crews discovered 11 cars derailed, apparently due to a low lying railway bridge that may have been compromised due to heavy rain and flooding waters.
