Sweeping start: Lady Farmers knock off Canton in three sets

by | Nov 1, 2018 | Sports

Kalli Virag prepares to bump the ball to a teammate along the front line on the road against Sunnyvale last Tuesday in the District 13-4A finale. Farmersville won the match in three sets.

It’s on to the next round of the volleyball playoffs.

The No. 6 state ranked Lady Farmers opened Monday, Oct. 29 with a 25-18, 25-23, 25-22 win over Canton in the Class 4A Region II bi-district round at Forney High School.

“It was a nice win for us. We started off great but then some nerves set in and we committed way too many unforced errors. We came from a 9-1 deficit in set two to pick up a great win,” FHS head coach Harold Davis said.
