Members of the Farmersville School Board had a chance to learn about the day-to-day operations at each of the district’s campuses.
At a board meeting Monday, Nov. 26, each principal updated trustees about campuses’ academic progress so far this school year.
“The district is working with principals and assistant principals to do professional development to make sure we’re all on the same page, and we put practices in place to achieve growth,” said Josh Martin, director of special programs and assessment. “We’ve put tutorials in place for advanced students – you’ve got to make sure kids are growing. We go over campus data every six weeks. By the end of the semester, we’ll be halfway through and it will be a more realistic look at our growth.”
