Hart leaves legacy of love for town, family

The community is mourning the loss of a civic-minded and loving individual, Jerry Wayne Hart.

Jerry, 86, wore many hats while living in Farmersville. He served as the chairman of the Senior Citizens Committee, was a past member of the Farmersville Economic Committee (4B), past master of the Farmersville Masonic Lodge and was awarded his 50-year pin.

Jerry was a veteran and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Jerry also served two terms as city councilman and 25 years as a volunteer firefighter for the Farmersville Fire Department.
