Election filings open Jan. 16

Election filings for city council seats will open Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Packets and applications for a place on the ballot may be picked up at city hall between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Wednesday, Jan. 16 through Feb. 15.

Places up on council for the election are Place 1, currently held by Craig Overstreet, Place 3, currently held by Michael Hesse, and Place 5, currently held by Todd Rolen.

City council candidates must have lived in Farmersville for six months, be 18 years of age and currently reside inside the city limits.
