Video: Identities released in double fatality fire

Investigators are on scene on Maple Street as the investigation continues into a double fatality house fire that occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 19. (Wyndi Veigel/The Farmersville Times)

A house fire on Maple Street quickly turned deadly in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 19 for two elderly individuals.

According to information released by Farmersville Police Chief Mike Sullivan, longtime Farmersville residents Delvin Sergent, 86, and Betty Sergent, 88, were found deceased within the structure.

The Collin County Fire Marshal’s office is continuing its investigation into what started the fire.
