Preliminary information regarding Sugar Hill Adventures and its connection to the Chaparral Trail was received by city council Tuesday, Feb. 26.
Sean Mosley, who owns a 26-acre tract of land located approximately a mile and a half down the Chaparral Trail in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ), spoke to councilmembers about allowing a connection between his land and the trail.
Sugar Hill Adventures would include 30 RV spots, cabins and would offer a bicycle repair stop, beverages and snacks for those utilizing the trail.
During public comments both Nadine and Dennis Winterrowd, who live on CR 656 not far from the proposed resort, spoke in opposition to the project.
