Concrete plant gets first step

by | Jun 27, 2019 | Latest

The first step toward annexation has been taken regarding Reliable Concrete coming into the city.

The 31-acre tract of land is located on Hwy. 380 and CR 699 and will hold a concrete batch plant.

Currently, the land where Reliable Concrete will sit is in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. Since the city is a Type A General Law municipality, it can only annex land into its corporate city limits if the landowner requests to be annexed.

Typically, a city will have up to two and a half years to provide some city services, such as water and sewer, once a piece of property is annexed.
