Sparking memories: Firefighters participate in statewide municipal fire school

Firefighters throughout the state of Texas participated in TEEX Municipal Fire School held at Texas A&M University including three Farmersville firefighters. (Michael O’Keefe/The Farmersville Times)

While many people are getting their vacations in during the last days of summer, firefighters in Collin County were utilizing their vacations to learn more about the art of firefighting.

Numerous departments throughout Texas and Collin County including Farmersville took part in the annual Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX). The fire school is held each July at Brayton Fire Training Field at College Station.
