Farmersville High School Band members should be “tooting their own horns” after earning its 11th consecutive Sweepstakes Award at the Spring UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest last week at Pottsboro High School.

Both the FHS Concert and Symphonic Bands impressed judges with their performances. According to Band Director Scott Cross, the symphonic band received first-division ratings from all six judges, securing the prestigious Sweepstakes Award when combined with their first-division rating from the UIL Marching Contest.
