Beat the rush: Adopt your Angels now

by | Nov 2, 2022 | Area news, Latest

Tis’ the season to start thinking about the Christmas angels that will need adopting this year, and once again the Farmersville Outreach Alliance Angel Tree Program will be assisting Farmersville children who need help.

Last year, the program had a record number of families signed up. This year, the outreach alliance reported that they found families with children who need help getting a few special gifts, including clothes, shoes, and coats, from newborns through high school seniors.

If you would like to give to the Angel Tree Program this year you can donate money by visiting farmersvilleoutreach.com/farmersville-adopt-an-angel/.

Money collected will be used for gifts for the Christmas Angels. Your donation and your name are kept confidential.

For those who would like to volunteer to help as a shopper, you can adopt an Angel on the website now, however, specific details and sizes will not be available until Nov. 4 or 5.

“If you sign up on our website you will receive an email with all the shopping needs for your Angel, or Angels, on or before Nov. 6,” organizers reported.

The program would not be possible, said the Alliance, without all the volunteers and the citizens who adopt Angels or donate money.

“We worked closely with the Farmersville Police Department, the Farmersville ISD and the First United Methodist Church to get our list of Angels this year,” they said. “We have also teamed up again with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program to make it all possible.”
