Collin College summer camp registration opens soon

by | Mar 26, 2026 | Area news, Latest

Registration for Collin College’s summer camps will open April 20, with a variety of programs available for middle and high school students across the county — including options in Farmersville, McKinney and Wylie. Space is limited, and college officials encourage families to register early as camps tend to fill quickly.

At the Farmersville Campus, 501 S. Collin Parkway, students can take part in the College for Kids program, scheduled for two sessions June 15–18 and June 22–25. Designed for students entering grades 7–9, the enrichment camp features project-based courses aimed at helping participants discover new interests while building skills for future academic success. Offerings include topics such as AI cyberdetectives, astronomy, geology, animal care and more.

Additional opportunities are available at the McKinney Campus, where a Nurse/Health Science Investigation Camp will be held June 1–3 for students entering grades 7–12. The program introduces participants to careers in health care through hands-on simulations, demonstrations and activities using industry-standard equipment.

McKinney will also host its own College for Kids session June 1–4, providing similar project-based learning experiences for students entering grades 7–9.

In Wylie, students can explore creative and musical pursuits at the Collin College campus, 391 Country Club Road. A Summer Creative Writing Workshop is scheduled for June 8–12, giving teens ages 14–17 the chance to develop poetry and short fiction while learning from published authors and guest speakers.

The Wylie Campus will also host the Texas All-Star Jazz Camp June 14–19, open to musicians ages 13 and older. Participants will receive instruction in jazz theory, improvisation and performance, culminating in ensemble work and concerts.

Collin College officials note that camps are also planned at additional campuses, including Allen, Celina and Plano. A complete list of camps, along with registration information, is available at www.collin.edu/community/summercamps.
