The stories of some of Farmersville’s earliest residents came to life Saturday evening, Oct. 24, as the Farmersville Historical Society hosted its inaugural Cemetery Walk at the Farmersville IOOF Cemetery.

More than 20 people attended the event, which featured costumed Historical Society members portraying six individuals connected to the Bain-Honaker family, whose historic home on College Street is now preserved as a museum.

The evening began with a brief history of the cemetery, including a reading of its Texas Historical Marker by Historical Society member Sherrie Johnson. Guests were then transported through the cemetery in golf carts, stopping at gravesites to hear stories of the people buried there.
