Student health tops brief FISD board meeting

by | Nov 5, 2026 | Area news, Latest

Brevity seemingly is the best word to describe a Farmersville ISD Board of Trustees meeting that was gaveled open and adjourned in just four minutes by board President Tony Gray.

The board, meeting Oct. 27 at Farmersville High School, heard a report from the District School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) on the procedures the council is following to monitor students’ health. The report came from Cristi Uland, principal at Tatum Elementary School and the district’s administrator representative for SHAC.

Uland’s verbal report, which also was brief, was the lone agenda item the Board of Trustees heard. The board took no action on Uland’s report. The SHAC council met Sept. 22, 2025; Nov. 10, 2025; Feb. 11, 2026; and May 15, 2026.
