Hwy. 380 meetings scheduled

A series of public meetings regarding the Hwy. 380 expansion project from Denton County to the Hunt County Line will be held during the first week of May.

TxDOT will be presenting the preferred alignment of a new east-west corridor through Collin County, which is the result of the feasibility study.

TxDOT will conduct three public meetings to discuss and receive public comments on the proposed project. All three meetings will present the same information and will be held in an open house format with a formal presentation at 6 p.m.

Representatives from TxDOT and project consultants will be available to answer questions about the proposed project improvements.

The purpose of the study is to analyze potential roadway options for US 380, including improving the existing alignment or utilizing a new alignment. A recommended alignment will be presented at the meetings. Additional right-of-way will be required to accommodate the project.

Meetings will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 6 at the Russell A Steindam Courts Building on 2100 Bloomdale Road in McKinney, 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 at Princeton High School 1000 E. Princeton Drive in Princeton. and 6 p.m. Thursday, May 9 at Rogers Middle School at 1001 Coit Road in Prosper.

All interested persons are invited to attend any of these public meetings.

Written or electronic comments from the public are requested and will be accepted for a period of 15 calendar days. Written comments must be postmarked on or before Friday, May 24 to be included in the documentation of the public meeting.
