LDS Farmersville ward leadership changes

There has been a leadership change at the Farmersville Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With no paid ministry, members of the church are asked to serve in various capacities without pay.

Leland Giles, who is the Procurement Manager at Simpson Strong-Tie, will serve as Bishop. He and his wife, Stacy, have been married for 35 years and have three children and nine grandchildren.

Dr. Bradley Duncan, Assistant Superintendent of Operations with Anna ISD and Josh Whitner who works in investments will serve as Bishop Giles’ counselors. Duncan, and his wife Amy have been married for 15 years and have three boys. Married for seven years, Josh and Taylor Whitmer have two boys and are expecting a little girl later this year.

The community is welcomed to attend the church’s services each Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

The chapel is located on Sycamore Street.
