The Farmersville Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a budget amendment Monday night that wipes out a projected fiscal deficit of $95,128 and results in a budget surplus of more than $500,000 in the current fiscal year.
The amendment is the result of an increase in certified property values received in September and student population growth. Trustees approved the fiscal year 2020-21 budget in August.
