Farmersville ISD grows beyond projections

The Farmersville Indepen­dent School District Board of Trustees approved a budget amendment Monday night that wipes out a projected fiscal deficit of $95,128 and results in a budget surplus of more than $500,000 in the current fiscal year.

The amendment is the result of an increase in certified prop­erty values received in Sep­tember and student population growth. Trustees approved the fiscal year 2020-21 budget in August.
