Voters pass $65 million bond proposal for Farmersville ISD

Election results have just been reported for today’s local elections.

Farmersville ISD voters overwhelmingly passed Proposition A, a $65 million bond proposal to expand the district’s facilities.

All four FISD incumbent trustees were reelected.

Paul Kelly (62.56% of vote) defeated Daniel Huff to retain Position 1 on the board of trustees.

Dale Pickett (62.53% of vote) defeated Ben Mathews for Position 2.

Tony Gray ran unopposed to retain Position 3 on the board.

David Coleman earned 52.34% of votes to remain in Position 4, defeating Sandy Day (37.69%) and Bridget Justiss (9.98%).

In the one contested Farmersville city council race, incumbent Craig Overstreet received over 77% of the vote to defeat challenger John Klostermann. Ted Wagner and Lance Hudson ran unopposed.

The Collin College trustee election saw all three incumbents defeat challengers.

Jim Orr received 54.04% of votes to defeat Helen Chang for Place 7.

Bob Collins received 53.69% of votes to defeat Misty Irby for Place 8.

Andy Hardin received 64.29% of votes to defeat Jacoby Stewart, Sr. for Place 9.
