Farmers net 2nd place at Clarksville Tournament

Fresh off an impressive 71-56 win over Grand Saline in their final game before Christmas, Farmersville’s boys basketball team continues to shine on the court with their play.

The Farmers earned second place in the three-day Clarksville Tournament from Dec. 26-28 and ended the event with a 4-2 record.

Farmersville defeated Clarksville (89-37), DeKalb (63-49), Redwater (78-45) and Pewitt (67-57). Liberty-Eylau topped Farmersville 80-54 in the championship game on Saturday, Dec. 28. Both of Farmersville’s losses in the tournament came against Liberty-Eylau.
