Farmersville ISD welcomed a new trustee to its board Sept. 22 as the district also announced it received the highest possible rating on its annual state financial accountability report.
The board administered the oath of office to Cynthia Craddock-Clark, who was appointed to fill Place 7. She replaces former trustee Jason McTee, who voluntarily resigned to comply with new legislation (House Bill 210) concerning relationships between vendors and board members.
By resigning, McTee allowed the district to remain in compliance with the new law. He was recognized for his service at a previous meeting and on the district website. Craddock-Clark will serve until the term expires in May 2027, when Places 5, 6 and 7 will be on the ballot.
