Another wreck occurred in the Farmersville area last week, and though it was not serious in nature, it added to an already high total to date.

According to information gathered by the Farmersville Fire Department, there have been 63 wrecks so far this year in just the Farmersville area. Though not all of them were what are considered serious in nature, a large amount were, including at least five fatalities.

“We have no clear indication that the wrecks are being caused by one thing,” Police Chief Mike Sullivan said. “But a lot of them are due to driver inattention. People’s heads aren’t in the game when they are driving.”
