JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Farmersville graduate Charla Craddock will join Jarrett Samuels on the flight to Eugene, Ore.

She ran a personal record time and the sixth-fastest 200-meter time in school history at the NCAA East Preliminary Championships at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville.

The former Lady Farmers time of 23.27 ranks sixth in school history and is the fastest time ran by a Lady Techster in five years.

She competed in the NCAA Preliminary Championships in the 200 for the first time in her career.

Craddock now advances to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. in June.

At Jacksonville, she finished 11th overall after entering the week ranked 19th in the East.

The 200 was the top highlight of an otherwise busy day for the Farmersville native.

Craddock started the day running the anchor leg of the 400 relay that finished 19th with a time of 44.81 as she was joined by Victoria Wade, Brittany Walker and Mia Adams in the relay.

Craddock capped the day off with her third event of the day and fourth event of the prelims as she joined Diamond Every, Wade and Adams on the 1,600 relay that ran 3:46.06 to place 24th.

With her advancing mark in the 200m, Craddock joins Samuels in advancing to the NCAA Championships on June 10-13 at historic Heyward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

The ESPN Family of Networks will broadcast the entire NCAA Championship meet.
