A City Amenities board has been formed by the city council to handle the business of the library, the senior citizens board and the park and recreation board.
The board eliminated the existing library board, the senior citizens board and the parks and recreation board.
Council did this by modifying the ordinance to form the city amenities board. In the formation of the board, councilmembers staggered the terms of board members and made seven seats on the board, only two of which can live outside the corporate city limits of Farmersville.
Serving on the new board will be Suzie Grufendorf and Glenn Bagwell, who were formerly on the Parks board. Their terms will expire in 2018.
