There has been a major wreck between a Bland ISD School Bus and an 18-wheeler on Hwy. 380 near the Hunt County Line.

Hwy. 380 is shut down in both directions.

There were juveniles on the school bus – three are being transported via ambulance, 12 others are being transported as a precautionary measure. There are no reported serious injuries at this time.

Preliminary information indicates a school bus was stopped at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Hwy. 380 when, for an as yet undetermined reason, the driver of a truck tractor semi trailer, failed to see the school bus and crashed into the back of the bus. There were approximately 15 people onboard the bus, according to information released by Texas Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Lt. Lonny Haschel.

Watch for emergency vehicles and avoid the area if possible.
