On Tuesday, Oct. 18, Farmers and Lions took “pride” in an “agricultural” community service project. Students from both Farmersville and Greenville High School Ag Departments teamed up with Farmersville Intermediate School (FIS) students to beautify the FIS Outdoor Science Lab.
The second and third graders kicked off the day with a “Wacky Weed Relay.” Geared with garden gloves, students competed to see which class could pull the most weeds. Within minutes, wheelbarrows and large bins were overflowing with the summer’s weeds. At the end of each session, all classes were declared winners for teaming up to improve their campus.
