Man’s best friend encourages literacy with library program

Summer Reading Club participants got to practice their reading skills Wednesday, July 26 with Arlo and Peggy Gooch. The team is part of the Reading Education Assistance Dogs program.

The program is aimed at increasing literacy through kids and adults reading to dogs, which increases their confidence level.

Arlo, an Old World German Shepherd, got a visit from 45 eager readers at the club program.
